S for IT attends opening ceremony of Smart Living@Science Park (with photos)

The Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang (centre); the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Mr Allen Ma (left); and artiste Wayne Lai (right), officiate at the opening ceremony of Smart Living@Science Park today (December 13). Mr Yang said promoting Smart City initiatives is one of his work priorities. The Government's objective is to make people's life more convenient, healthy and environmental-friendly through the development of Smart City. The Innovation and Technology Bureau will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to participate in studies of Smart City initiatives, focusing on the examination of the requisite information technology infrastructure in developing Smart City in Hong Kong and providing support in digital technology.
